Sunday Afternoon Concerts in the Dome (Sept 5th, 2nd Performance at 5:00 p.m.)
Peter Erskine's Lounge Art Trio
Back by popular demand, this iconic Trio will return to enchant our ears. Led by Weather Report drummer extraordinaire Peter Erskine, Lounge Art Trio will offer a freewheeling selection of standards and original tunes in the observatory's unique and historic venue. The performance will be acoustic, without amplification, promising that the full tonality of the instruments and the dynamic control these musicians possess will be fully appreciated by the audience. Come and enjoy - quoting Peter Erskine himself, "This Dome has some of the best acoustics in the world!"
Performances of the same program are scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m.
There will be a 4 p.m. reception with the musicians that both the 3:00 and 5:00 attendees are invited to join.
